Midsummer Moribana at Garden Tiger : June 27th 5:30pm - 7pm

$130.00
sold out

Join us at Garden Tiger for an evening of Midsummer Moribana! Guided by Van Ly, our in house botanical and floral designer, this class will infuse creative education inspired by Ikebana, the art of Japanese floral arranging, sustainable floral practices using a floral frog, and of course beautiful blooms to celebrate midsummer. Drawing inspiration from Moribana, which translates to “full bloom flowers” or “heaped up flowers”, we will discuss the design principles such as negative space, height, shape, and dimension, intentional stem placement, and intuitive editing to create an abundant as well as structured arrangement.

No previous experience is required. If you have taken an ikebana inspired class from Van before, fear not, this is not a repeat class! As always, the purpose of this class is to share some tips and tricks for at home floral design, pay homage to the art of ikebana, and to get your hands on some premium blooms and have fun. You can expect the class to be guided in an approachable and relaxed atmosphere, as well as some unexpected elements of unorthodox botanical materials.

Included will be guidance throughout class, a gorgeous low compote floral vessel, a metal floral frog, and blooms to make and take your arrangement home! A glass of summer vino or non alcoholic refreshment is provided by Garden Tiger.

This class will be the last Florida class for a while from Van, as she and her family head  back to the PNW. The class is limited to 16 participants and we anticipate it will sell out.

Date and Time: Thursday June 27 5:30- 7:00pm

Location: Garden Tiger 1900 Alden Road, Orlando, FL 32803

Ticket fee:  $130

Purchased tickets are non refundable, however they are transferable
